Cadre Proppants is pleased to announce that Mei Yang's paper, "Revisiting Natural Proppants for Hydraulic Fracture Production Optimization," has been accepted by the SPE for its 2012 SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference. The conference will be held February 6-8 at The Woodlands, Texas. Mrs. Yang is Lead Research Engineer at Cadre. Her extensive research and knowledge of the science of proppant is a resource available to Cadre's customers. Mrs. Yang's consulting activities include hydraulic fracture design, optimization and proppant manufacture design. Her broader fields of interest include mathematical modeling and the development of computational methods. Mrs. Yang holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Master of Science in Computational Mathematics, both from Texas A&M University. She has served as an intern at Economides Consulting, Inc. and has published two papers on Hydraulic Fracture Optimization. In addition, she was awarded First Place in the 2011 SPE Annual Student Competition for her paper on Pseudo-3D Fracture Height in Multi-layer Lithology.
