Cadre Proppants Recognized as Outstanding Large Business of the Year

Cadre Proppants was named the Outstanding Large Business of the year at the annual Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce banquet. The award was accepted by Rex Tucker, Chief Operations Officer, with other employees present. Cadre was chosen for this award for its positive economic impact on the community and the philanthropic support of community events and charitable organizations.
“It is an honor to be selected as Outstanding Business of the Year by one of the most respected business organizations in Brady/McCulloch County,” said Jerry McGee, CEO of Cadre Proppants. “We began working with community leaders nearly three years ago to design and build our new proppant facility in Voca. This community support enabled us to complete this greenfield project, create over 100 jobs in McCulloch County and contribute substantially to the local economy. We are proud to be a part of this community,” McGee noted.
Since the commissioning of Cadre’s plant in Voca in April of 2011, Cadre has been an active member of the Brady community supporting youth and education efforts. Cadre sponsors a number of community events including the July Jubilee fireworks show, the 5K Goat Gallop, Goat Cook-off and Christmas in the Heart. Additionally, Cadre supports numerous community groups including Project Graduation, the Brady Youth Sports Foundation, Casa Bluebonnet, the Brady School Supply Drive, McCulloch County 4H and FFA, Project Hope, the Brady Band Boosters and the Brady Bulldog Boosters Club.
Cadre’s involvement in the community extends beyond corporate sponsorship and donations; many of the employees are directly involved in the Brady community including serving on the board of the Brady Youth Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce, as well as coaching sports teams. Many employees and family members participated in the 5K Goat Gallop and other festivities throughout the Goat Cook-off weekend.
