Position: Maintenance Manager
Type: Regular, Full-Time
Location: Voca, Texas
This position reports directly to the plant manager and supervises a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, I&C technicians, and maintenance planner.
This person will direct the planning and execution of all maintenance shutdowns by coordinating the appropriate resources, conducting safety planning, and ensuring availability of spares within the scheduled timeframe. These responsibilities encompass the following:
• Develop, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program, with an emphasis on planning, scheduling and preventative/predictive maintenance.
• Monitors the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment.
• Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
• Monitors the operations of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Tracks, analyzes, and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization and maintenance costs.
• Supervises plant personnel and ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
• Communicates directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
Qualifications:
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or other closely related field required; five plus years of supervisory experience in a processing plant preferred.
• Must have a solid background in strategic maintenance planning and implementation.
• Excellent communication skills, analytical abilities and exceptional troubleshooting skills.
• Initiative and ability to prioritize work, recognizing the need for doing thorough and complete work, but at the same time addressing the demanding schedule requirements.
